New Opportunity: Travel Training Project – Inclusion Gloucestershire

Inclusion Gloucestershire is launching an exciting new project to support disabled adults (18+) across the county in gaining the skills, knowledge, and confidence to travel independently or with support.

They are inviting referrals from individuals who could benefit from:

· 1:1 Travel Training – Personalised, practical support to learn specific journeys with a travel trainer who will accompany the person on public transport until they are confident to travel alone.

· Companion Journeys – Support people who don’t think they want to travel independently but could travel with the support of a companion to appointments, events, or social outings (travel support only).

· Workshops – Group sessions (8+ people) offering practical travel skills and confidence-building.

· Paid Travel Trainer Roles – A fantastic opportunity for disabled individuals who already travel confidently to support others and earn as they train.

This project is open to Gloucestershire residents aged 18+ who identify as disabled or experience barriers due to a long-term health condition.

For more information, referrals, or to put an application in to become a trainer, please see their website: https://www.inclusiongloucestershire.co.uk/travel-training-project/
